What is Neutral Spanish ?

Neutral Spanish, commonly referred to as Standard Spanish, Educated Spanish, Global Spanish or Universal Spanish, is a linguistic variety, that is considered a correct educated standard for the Spanish language and used to allow the greatest number of Spanish speakers to understand the message without the use of local terminology and certain verb tenses.
When creating advertising campaigns, website content, or other materials geared toward the U.S. Hispanic audience, companies are wise to consider the use of neutral Spanish, which avoids regionalisms, colloquial language, and certain verb tenses and conjugations that hint at a particular dialect.
Translators and writers employing neutral Spanish seek to produce a text that is universally understood by Spanish speakers.
Translations using software tools and online dictionaries can never match the quality of ones done by manual (human translation) means.
Translation is not merely the replacement of words of a language by another. It is a combination of linguistic sciences, semantics of the language and also an understanding of the context in which it is used.
If your target market is the United States of America, Spanish (Latin America) would be your obvious choice however if you are looking to reach all Spanish speakers all over the world then your target market is not so refined and neutral Spanish would be your preference.
